Boons, Intel & perks

Every run is a small experiment. Boons and upgrades are the variables; the arena is where you find out what survived contact with reality.

Confirmed: official descriptions mention powerful Boons, Multiverse Intel, active abilities, tactical perks, and run modifiers.

The systems around a weapon

Weapons are only part of the build. The official Steam Community article describes collecting Multiverse Intel to boost stats, unlock active abilities, and gain perks. The Steam store page also describes Boons and run modifiers that reshape the experience.

SYSTEM / BOONS

Change the run’s rules

Think of Boons and modifiers as the layer that changes how the next fights behave. Read each choice in context instead of treating it as an isolated score.

SYSTEM / INTEL

Invest in your Sam

Intel is described as a way to boost stats, unlock active abilities, and gain tactical perks. The official wording supports the system; exact values need current in-game verification.

A simple build process

  1. Identify what is currently ending the run.
  2. Choose an upgrade that addresses that problem.
  3. Check whether the next choice supports the same plan.
  4. In co-op, tell the squad what your build is trying to do.

Builds in co-op

Five players can create five different priorities. A short callout before selecting a reward can prevent duplicated plans and make the squad’s next fight easier to read.

Boons FAQ

The official descriptions discuss Boons as part of the run-building system, but this page does not state permanent or temporary behavior without a confirmed source.
The roguelite structure means each run presents changing choices. Adaptation is part of the intended loop.
